Lasting Perfection Glow Foundation
I used to review foundations all the time but they became my least favourite to write up because there are only so many ways to describe the same product over and over without losing your mind.
Since I’m returning to reviews, I’ve decide they will be snappier. A picture (or video) tells a thousand words, after all and you really just need the basic highlights for me in terms of a yay or a nay, don’t you?
Collection Lasting Perfection Glow Foundation - Shade : Cashew
COVERAGE/FINISH
Medium but buildable and although I can feel it on my skin it doesn’t look heavy. It has a radiant, skin-like finish which is often difficult to achieve with a higher coverage, long lasting base. I didn’t apply any powder to set because I wanted to maintain that dewy look.
It can also be worn sheered out over a moisturiser and doesn’t look at all streaky. Quite a multi-tasker.
WEAR
Althought the snippet of video I got wasn’t fantastic (yellow living room light, anyone?) it wore nicely. It did feel heavier as the day wore on and I was happy to wash it off but it didn’t settle too much in to lines and dryness, and it wasn’t at all patchy.
As the name suggests, it’s glowy so doesn’t offer any oil control but I don’t feel it made that worse either.
PACKAGING
Glass bottle and a PUMP, both of which are very nice for the price point. I was initially concerned that the pump was faulty but it just took longer tha the average to get going. A nice feeling product.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall I’m really happy with it. I don’t love it as much as my Sephora Best Skin Ever Glow but it’s considerably cheaper and really a different animal since this is in the longwear category where that is not. I may have to do a side by side test but off hand I would say this is drier and less comfortable.. a trade off for the wear time that I’d be happy with on occasion but not every day.
