Maybelline Master Sculpt

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI'm really getting in to contouring again lately, I'm not the best at it but since discovering 'strobing' (highlighting the areas you want to brighten rather than accentuating shadow) I've been experimenting with a few new products and this is a great basic kit. If you're scared of those harsh lines and don't have Kardashian bone structure a more subtle scultped look might be more what you're looking for. Maybelline Master Sculpt comes in 2 shades (and I have the darkest) neither of which are incredibly bold so if you're after something softer this might just be for you.

I have been using this (and other sculpting kits) as a second step after foundation. I lay dow my coverage and then use the highligt shade to brighten in the middle of my forehead, down my nose, the tops of my cheeks and my chin. The areas I want to lift go in first and then I add just the tiniest bit of contour in the hollows of my cheeks. It's the most foolproof way I've found of applying any sculpting products on my very pale, pretty shapeless face with the minimal skills that I have. If I want to kick it up a notch that's when I go in with a sheen/shimmery highlight over the top of my cheeks again and other areas as necessary. The discovery of matte highlights has been the big thing here, it's tough to blend a shimmery highlight next to a matte contour shade without mixing the two and totally messing it all up but by the time I go in with my 'glow' I'm all blended and ready to go. If you've struggled in the past I'd highly recommend you give it another go, whether it be with this or something else.. but this is a pretty handy package!
