NARS Powermatte - Under My Thumb #30in30
Todays lip is much the same as the YSL I started with, my first impressions were not great and I didn't really give it a second chance. The difference is I've had this one for about 6 months and haven't pulled it back out again 'til now.I was so excited about the NARS Powermatte launch having been a bit fan of their Velvet Lip Glides earlier in the year and being a die hard lip fan anyway but this initially seemed a bit blah. Fiddly to apply with the unusual wand, very thin in texture and not 100% opaque.. which isn't great for a dark colour. As with the YSL Tatouage I think I was too stingy with my first try, both seem to do better when layered up. You get a more even coverage and the thicker layer just stays put for longer. That's not usually the case with a liquid lip but it's another reminder not to write a product off after one bad experience.I still find the applicator difficult to work with, this time around I used it as a lip liner and then to fill in and it was easier than trying to get a crisp line using it as I would a regular wand. It is different however so you have to give them credit for trying. I did notice a small amount of bleeding around the line after a couple of hours too and it's not smudge-proof. That being said, the after picture is after a KFC and 2 glasses of wine so I don't think it did too badly.BUY ONLINE HERE
