NYC Winter Style Edit #1
FUR STOLE / POM POM BEANIE / FUR COLLAR COAT / SUEDE PULL ON BOOTS / FUR COAT - SIMILAR / MINI ROCKIE BAG / COSSACK HAT / THIGH HIGH BOOTS
With a trip booked for the end of January and time literally flying by I thought I'd get a jump on my packing-inspo. This will be my 4th visit to the Big Apple, we always go in the coldest period because it's cheap but I'm ALWAYS shocked by just HOW cold it is! Last year I was pretty prepared but this time it will be my birthday (a big one) so I don't just want to be warm, I want to look good and since you have to be bundled up it's all about the outerwear.
I picked up a couple of new coats in the January sale and I have the grey one (pictured) on order so I might be good for those but hats, scarves and other accessories make the outfit, right? I might dig out everything I have and do a follow up on all that cause I'm a bit of a hat fiend, truth be told. Last time I lived in my leather Uggs and I'll definitely take those with me but I want a smarter option and something like these super high suede ones might be perfect for a glam evening out. Regular heels are out of the question (it's seriously cold) but it would be nice to dress up for my birthday and tall boots will (hopefull) still keep me relatively warm.
I will be stocking up on fleecy thermals (but that's another post) and basics like that soon enough but the final, exciting installment is a potential gift-to-self. I've had my eye on an Alexander Wang Rockie for years, I picked up a second hand Rocco last year but it's heavy. I just discovered a micro version in red (pictured) that I absolutely love the style and think the pop of colour would work well against the grey New York cityscape.. and it is my 30th birthday ;)
