Revlon / Love is On
The new collection from Revlon sees a few new colour releases and I have two to show you today. Historically I have been really impressed by their Colorstay Quads so I was excited to try a new one but this was a huge miss for me. My favourite (and I don't think think was limited edition) has to be Adventurous, a lovely autumnal mix with some hit and miss textures but overall a good product.. this paled in comparison. It was chalky and there was very little payoff from the green and yellow, the black and white were okay but not easy to blend and they just didn't make up for the disappointment of the other half of the quad. Luckily the liner rescued my eye makeup here.
I liked the original Colorstay liners but they weren't anything special, the new ones most certainly are. They are mechanical so need no sharpening and have a smudger on the end that I used to smoke out the soft brown liner, I wish every eyeliner had one of these! Invaluable if you're a little messy.. a little smudging makes it look like it was all on purpose! It lasts all day but isn't a total b*tch to remove and this dark brown makes a nice change to stark black. I like a dramatic eye from time to time but with the blonde hair and the pale skin it can look a bit too much sometimes, this is a little less intense, a better match for me I think.
On another note I am BEYOND excited to try Revlon's new Ultra HD lip colours, we don't have them in the UK just yet (soon I'm told) but as you read this I am hurtling my way through the sky to America where I will be picking up as many as I can carry.. or appeal to me. If there's anything you'd particularly like to see a review of from across the pond let me know, I'll be picking up my comments while I'm there (cause I can't ever switch off long enough to have a proper holiday) and am always looking to try something new!
