SOPH X REVOLUTION
I am SO cross with myself but it would appear that my lovely swatches of these palettes have been deleted and so these pictures are not quite so lovely and the swatches are rough but I felt a little like it was karma punishing me for taking my sweet time and not sharing them as soon as I could have.. so here we are, sharing now!I saw pictures of the palettes online ahead of receiving them and although I though the shadow palette was nice I didn't think it was very 'me' ..the highlight however was right up my street. 8 different shades and formulas in huge pans? yes please! I tested the palettes out today for a video which will be up in the morning and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the colours were to work with. They are hit and miss (of course, all palettes have their duds) and some of the paler mattes could have a little more oomph but overall it's a fantastic selection of colours and I will reach for it again.. more than I initially thought I might. The highlights are (as predicted) all beautiful, there are sheeny finishes that give that subtle glow I'm ALL about as well as frostier shimmers in a variety of tones. I think I'll be sticking to the more subtle but it's nice to have options and a good frosty highlight you're not getting much use from can double as a an eyeshadow. I've been OBSESSED with highlighters on my eyes recently. I actually discovered there is such a thing as a HIGHLIGHTING EYESHADOW PALETTE!!! - I might need it but in the meantime this is pretty much perfect.I like the packaging, the palettes are really well put together and I think they're a great representation of Soph (see her channel here) who worked with Revolution to create them. Blogger collabs aren't always fantastic but I feel like Sop really put herself in to this and Revolution really delivered her something she can be proud of.You can find Soph's palettes online at Superdrug here and direct from TAM here.
