Summer Sales / Craving Coral
I've been pretty good this year at reigning in the frivolous purchases (within reason, I mean.... I've improved) and only this week I was patting myself on the back for not going crazy in the recent summer sales.. but then I got an email. Isn't that always how it starts? Something I'd had my eye on for a while was almost half price and I broke. So, in the grand tradition of 'misery' loving company I'm sharing my slip along with a bunch of other sale picks in order to bring you all down with me!
WHAT I'M WEARING
Coral Cami - Topshop / Regular Waist Ripped Jeans - Zara (in the sale) / Khaki Parka - Next (old, similar alternative) / Boots - H&M (old, similar alternative) / Sunglasses - RayBan Blue Flash (in the sale)
I'm totally obsessed with this coral colour for spring! There aren't many colours I think really 'go' with me.. I'm a tan/khaki/grey kinda gal usually but I've been trying to inject some colour and coral is my flavour of the moment. When I saw this mini Rockie from Alexander Wang on Very Exclusive (now out of stock, unfortunately) I loved it but I was trying to be good and was nervous it might be too small. I checked back every now and then, resisting even when it was discounted but that 'extra 20% off' email pushed me over the edge and providing someone is home to take delivery I will be sporting my new coral beauty this weekend so expect pictures! There are some really lovely options from Cambridge satchel right now in their clearance too. This large saddle bag in terracotta, this cloud bag is so pretty too. I have the push lock satchel and it's so light and roomy, there's more to the brand than the big, clunky satchels now. on a non-bag note, since I've been in a coral mood I've been really digging these Adidas Gazelle's too ..it's a slippery slope this falling off the shopping-wagon.
Also.. if you're interested in the backdrop in these photos check out this vlog. We visited Berridon Farm in Devon earlier this month and stayed in a little cabin tent hybrid with Milo and it was pretty much the most picturesque place ever! Even as rainy as it was it was so warm and cosy.. and I cannot explain the sense of achievement I felt after cooking a meal on a wood burning stove.. I will never again take a microwave for granted.PS. Our internet SUCKS right now so blogs and vlogs may be delayed since I'm stealing pockets of wifi wherever I can find it - hence the very late one today.
