The Boys Are Back In Town
I know it's been officially Summer for a little while now but Summer for me really starts when the kids break up from school. I have a long 7 weeks ahead of me to fill with activities so any suggestions are more than welcome but I think I'll put together a post of my personal favourites soon for those of you in the same boat. We moved house right at the end of last Summer and I think this year we'll really make the most of out nearby lake, excellent dog walking territory but also great for tiring out the smallest one on his bike!
Another thing Summer signals for me is my most productive season, I think it's the long stretches of daylight, I just tend to be my most motivated to get on and do stuff in the Summer. It's mad really because it's probably the period when I have the least time but I seem to manage it better around now. This being the first weekend of the holidays I decided to start as I meant to go on and began my work schedule for the next 6 weeks. I am hoping to get out 5 videos and 7 blog posts a week between now and September, I used to do this on the regular but took some time away to enjoy Milo's last year at home with me. I'm keeping everything crossed that if I work hard at the weekend we can enjoy our Summer and come September when he starts 'proper' school I wont know what to do with all my extra time.. that's the PLAN anyway. I'm really looking forward to being able to organise my work days a little better but I'm so going to miss our mornings together before nursery. We went to watch a little video of his class and what they've been up to this past year and it was a bit emotional.. really don't blame his teacher for having a little cry.. I could have.
I don't actually read/watch very many other mums blogs/videos who have school-age kids so often find it tricky to find people I can 100% relate to.. if you can recommend any I'd love to hear about them. The only one that comes to mind is Brummy Mummy Of 2 who if you haven't watched already you absolutely MUST.. she's HILARIOUS!

People are having kids older and older these days (or of course not at all) and I often feel totally out of the loop with people my own age let alone all my 20 something blogger peers but I wouldn't swap what I have for all the freedom in the world.. well, except at 5am when I'd REALLY love the freedom of uninterrupted sleep!
