The ONLY Jumpsuit You NEED This Summer
I am such a fan of jumpsuits at the moment and on the occasional insufferably hot day they are my favourite thing to pull on for work but I really didn't have many I felt were 'work appropriate'. Since I only work in an office 2 days a week I don't really have a work wardrobe or like to buy things I would only wear for work so when I spotted this jumpsuit in the holiday section at Next I was all in.
JUMPSUIT - NEXT / SANDALS - H&M (OLD) / CARDIGAN - H&M / BAG - ALEXANDER WANG / SUNGLASSES - RAYBAN ERIKA
It's a super thin, crinkly material that will never crease and feels like you're wearing nothing but it's not see through, a very understated navy colour, not too figure hugging and it has pockets! For someone who is heaviest around her middle I wasn't sure it would be the most flattering (jumpsuits can really exhaggerate a rounded tummy) but I think it's okay and I feel so comfortable in it. For work I'd wear a cardigan purely because it's strapless but I think I can get away with it as a 'business casual' on a hot day.I am for sure taking this to Vegas with my next month and can see my wearing it with trainers/sandals just as much as heels, it's a real multi-tasker and only £28!!! I wish they did it in more colours, I really do.Talking of Vegas, I picked up this mini Rockie in the Very Exclusive sale a couple of weeks ago after stalking it for months and waiting for it to be discounted. I am completely in the love with the colour and thought it would be a gorgeous summer bag (definitely one for the holiday) but the finish of the leather is almost matte and the colour transfer is a nightmare! I've only worn it 2 or 3 times so far, once with black jeans that have been washed a thousand times, once with a new navy cotton dress and then today. This outfit is the only one that avoided marking the bag thus far which has made me so nervous to carry it. I've used water stop spray to protect it from spills/the rain and have been using a rubber (literally an eraser) to remove the colour up to now but that's not ideal. Hopefully I find some miracle solution or it will be a very fairweather bag since I wear a lot of dark clothing. May invest in a white pair of jeans just so I can wear it more often 😆
