Tom Ford - Pussycat #30in30
I have had this lipstick for about 2 years (maybe more?) and never blogged about it? How can that be possible?? It's the most expensive lipstick I own and I can't tell you I've rushed out to buy any more since this but it is amazing. Knowing that it would probably be the only one I'd ever own I'm happy I chose this mauvey nude because even years later it's still my go to lipstick colour and after wearing it today for this post I'm going to put it back in to rotation for Winter. I went through a phase of wearing it constantly when I first bought it but I think the price made me nervous and I haven't reached for it in a really long time.
It's creamy in texture but matte in finish while feeling comfortable and the wear time is phenomenal for a lipstick. The before and after below is around 3 hours wear time and as I type this now it's been more than 6 and although it feels dry it still looks great.
The packaging is very swish, feels substantial and has a magnetic closure - always a bonus. The embossed TF in the bullet is again a nice (but temporary) feature and the whole squared tube thing makes the collector in my want to buy twenty. Of course the reasonable person in my realises that they're extortionately priced and I'm never going to do that.
Much as it's a great example of 'you get what you pay for' and this product is genuinely great it's just too high end for my day to day makeup budget. The ultimate treat and the perfect gift for your beauty junkie friend who has everything.
