This post is MONTHS late but I thought it might be seasonally appropriate. If you're going to be in London over the festive season and are looking for somewhere to partake in a luxurious afternoon tea I can't think of anywhere better than Sketch. It's EXPENSIVE to eat in the Gallery (the pink room of dreams) but as a girlie treat it's pretty incomparable. I visited with Emma in June and we loved it, very fancy, the food isn't 'normal' so if you're picky it might not be for you. Unusual art by David Shrigley adorns the walls AND crockery in a contrast to the plush velvet seating.. all very surreal. We chose our tea and which scones we would would like (warm and HUGE, they arrived after the finger sandwiches and tiny desserts) and had we not had to rush off to get somwhere we would most definitely have indulged in a glass of champagne. I'd love to return at some point but it's not your average lunch spot, definitely one to save for a special occasion and to take the RIGHT person to. Not everyone would appreciate it but as it's one of the most instagrammed restaurants in London I'd say any social media addict would love it. Oh, and the bathrooms are insane!
