#30in30 Smashbox Paris Pink Matte
Apologies for this belated post (but really, did you notice?) I will be posting two #30in30's today, I was just WIPED yesterday after a long weekend of packing boxes (moving prep) and filming/editing 3 videos I was in bed EARLY! As it happens my review of this lippie will be different because of the delay as I wore it again today and had TONS of comments on my new video asking what it was so my initial 'meh' feeling has been greatly blostered by the copious compliments. I didn't think it was the best shade on me and it's definitely not the easiest colour to wear but it's actually much warmer and more flattering than your average pale pink/nude. It's almost a muted neon/coral. It reminds me of what I WANTED MAC Riot House to be!
It's from the same line as the Fireball red I shared earlier in the month which I LOVE but as always the paler colours show every imperfection. A little prep goes a long way and a nude liner underneath would help to avoid it settling around the lines/dry areas in your lips but compared to other similar colours/textures it's really pretty good. It's a real matte too so it settles to a dry finish which you guys know I'm a big fan of. Having sample two of the new matte lipsticks from Smashbox I have a feeling I will have to pick up more! One thing I wanted to mention that I think is really nifty is that Smashbox have a colour guide on their site so you can get an idea of how each colour will look on your skintone.. I don't think they're all entirely accurate but it's a nice idea!
