Happy Shoes

SJP NAOMI SCINTILLATEI have really suffered with the jet lag after this trip! Milo and Lee seemed to settle back in to UK time immediately whereas Ella and I are frequently crossing paths to bathroom at 3am. Milo actually let me sleep in today which sounds great and let me catch up on some much needed sleep but means I will be wide awake at bed time. I've been trawling through the many holiday pictures I took today and realised that although I vlogged it I am yet to post here about the most surreal moment of my trip!!Having loved the SJP collection since it launched a couple of years ago I was disappointed to see that there were no Las Vegas stockists when we visited earlier this year, when I looked in to it a little further I discovered that they were launching a boutique at The Bellagio.. this summer. Now I've missed Sarah Jessica Parker by DAYS before so I wasn't holding out any hope at all that it would coincide with our travel plans to I stalked social media for updates pretty regularly and then about a week before we flew I saw that she would be there to officially launch the store the first 2 days of our holiday!! I had already warned Lee that if she was there I would be skipping whatever we had planned to stand in line all day but he and the kids wanted to meet her too so we got there around an hour before she was scheduled to arrive.IMG_1897SJP NAOMI SCINTILLATE BOOHOO FLAMENCO DRESS PHILLIP LIM MESSENGER TURQUOISE METALLICThankfully everyone in the queue was lovely as Milo played around our feet and Lee left to buy drinks etc. I got chatting with a fellow fan from South Africa (who I wish I knew the name of now) and she had heard that the smart move was to buy your shoes ahead of time for her to sign as soon as she arrived. We both ran in, tried on a few and rejoined the queue as fast as possible. She chose the Fawn in Glow.. I LOVE the Glow fabric I have a pair of the Ursula Ballroom style shoes in it and they genuinely make me happy when I look at them. I'm not sure if I've said this before (I feel like I have) but after buying them I decided I didn't want to spend big money on a boring pair of shoes ever again. Tempting as it is to buy a 'classic' style in black because they're so expensive, wouldn't you rather they be really special? I was torn between a few pairs but a fabric called 'Scintillate' caught my eye and whatever the style I knew it had to be that! The most sparkly and magical shoes ever.. SPECIAL!!IMG_1897SJP NAOMI SCINTILLATE BOOHOO FLAMENCO DRESS PHILLIP LIM MESSENGER TURQUOISE METALLIC

MEETING SJP VEGAS LAUNCH SARAH JESSICA PARKER HAIRI was super cool until I got in to the store and close to the head of the line when I felt like I might faint but SJP was incredibly friendly and eager to chat about her line. She was actually wearing the my favourite style and we talked about how comfortable they were, she introduced herself to my family and was just so, so lovely I can't explain. They say you should never meet your idols but she did NOT disappoint and I do not regret spending $400 on a new pair of happy shoes to commemorate the trip***I do regret it a bit, I'm super skint now
