How To Do Paris 'For The Gram'

Were you even in Paris if you didn't get the shot?Travel is often more about social media than actually travelling these days and we've all read articles telling us we're 'missing it' and that life is about more than what you share online.. but let's be real. You want the shot and I'm here to tell you how to get 3 of them without having to dedicate your entire city break to making it look like you had a great time in Paris, so you actually have a great time in Paris.TOP TIP: Uber That Shit! This is numero uno and a total game changer since I was last in the city. Wandering around aimlessly, unable to speak the language and totally intimidated by the idea of having to ask for directions/help is a sure-fire way to waste a lot of time. When I visited at Christmas we ubered to the main photo destinations and saved the wandering for our 'we're in PARIS!' time. The Eiffel Tower (Trocadéro)I had been to Paris a handful of times but had never looked in to where everyone else was getting these stellar tower shots until I planned a trip with a fellow blogger. This was ALL people taking photos so if you think you'll feel awkward or embarrassed posing for your own.. think again! We saw people with props, confetti canons (which were not cleaned up, FYI - don't do that!) and it is the shot! If you're with someone who's totally uninterested in this vapid social media bubble, make this your first stop and consider anything else to be a bonus. The LouvreOne of the most iconic structures in Paris and whether you get there at day or night, it's high impact! It's very close to the ferris wheel (The Roue de Paris) and a very pretty area to walk around (often with food stalls etc) so if you're not planning on visiting the museum you can hop over afer your pictures and take a ride or just spend some time in another recognisable area of Paris. Also, the next stop is SUPER close by and surrounded by cafes! The Black/White Columns (Les Deux Plateaux)This was actually loads of fun! We hopped around on the short columns, I dared to climb one of the taller ones.. we had some proper belly laugh moments! There were a decent number of people around when we visited but it wasn't tough to get a photo without lots of people in the background (it was pretty cold though) and we even traded some pictures with a group of teens who were equally as excited to be somewhere they'd seen on their feed. You can try to fight it but this is who we are now.Obviously there are countless sights to be seen (and shot) and if you have the time to get around them all, have at it. I'm speaking more to the insta generation who want the 'I went to Paris' pics for the gram but would also like to actually enjoy their weekend in The City Of Lights while they're at it.Happy 'Travels' ;)
