Style At Any Size - ASOS

You may remember that Emma and I did a series called 'style at any size' a few years ago. The idea was born from our realisation that we were the same shape (apple) in two different dress sizes and so the silhouettes we gravitate towards may be similar.

Of course, now it's practically a movement and so when we started talking about bringing the series back there was a great response - so here we are! I've been posting mine to IGTV and Emma has been sharing a longer version on YouTube but I thought I'd record our attempts here too.

Today we're talking ASOS festive picks, some were chosen by me, some by Emma and one stayed in my closet after the session. FYI: I'm between a 10/12 and Em is between a 20/22..

This one was comfy but for me it was more like a night dress than something I'd want to wear out. Emma liked it though, I think perhaps in a smaller size I would have preferred it.

This is the one I ended up keeping! Hung beautifully and I loved the colour. Perfect for Christmas Day! We both agreed the belt was useless (didn't hold at all) and overall it was a miss for Emma, not a fan.

I enjoyed the movement in this one, really nice for dancing but didn't like the collar and I felt it gave me no shape. Emma, however, really liked it. It could have done with a little more material as I felt like the wrong angle and you'd be flashing everyone but I think it's a better one for hips (which I do not have).

We both liked the skirt, very flattering and comfy with a heavier jersey material than I expected. The tshirt was nice enough, basic but a nice material (not really my style) but we did notice that they weren't the same in each range. Mine was a regular crewe neck whereas Emmas was more scoop. I found mine a little tight over my head but I liked the longer arms and it had enough material to tie!
