WEEKLY WINS #6
I wrote this a week ago but somehow neglected to hit PUBLISH.. so here we are a little late and you’ll likely have Week 7 within days .. but here are last LAST weeks wins..
FRIEND TIME
At the start of the year, Emma and I decided to pencil in some dates to see each other more and the first was this weekend! We usually do an overnight at one place or another since we live so far apart but we decided to make a day trip to Bicester Village as a halfway point instead. It was a great (albeit rainy) day out and you can
JUST A COLD
I felt really rubbish this weekend and was fully preparing to be at deaths door but IN A BIZARRE TURN OF EVENTS it came and went within a metter of days. I cannot remembert the last time a cold didn’t turn in to 2 weeks of sleepless zombie-like illness. MAJOR WIN!
FINDING A BIRTHDAY GIFT
My husband insisted I finally choose a gift for my birthday. Part of the reason we decided to go to Bicester was in the hope I might find some unbeatable bargain that fit the bill BUT it wasn’t to be. One of my ‘resolutions’ this year was to be more mindful of things I bring in to the house, be it decor or clothing and so I really didn’t want a gift for the sake of a gift, y’know? Then I remembered the expensive travel tote I’d been lusting after for YEARS but decided I couldn’t justify. I will share a ‘what’s in my bag’ post once I actually use it but for now you can see my unboxing video here.
MAKING STEPS
I’m not quite in 1st January motivation mode but I’ve definitely found a rhythm again this week. I’m eating better, sleeping better, maybe not getting in ALL my steps but making a lot more effort. I was considering doing the 30 days shred, just to kickstart a bit of something - but that kind of all or nothing mentality is what I’m trying to move away from this year so I’m back on my daily(ish) stretches for now
