Garnier Pure Charcoal Sheet Mask - Mask Monday
I'm bringing back weekly mask posts! I am a HUGE face/hair mask fan and I'm constantly trying new ones so it just makes sense to do a little run down of each as I go. I'm going to keep them short and sweet for those of you who are finding these reviews in search of a snappy 'yay or nay' result.I picked this up because I love a sheet mask but my skin has been breaking out recently and I wondered how effective something like this could be with problem skin.. and how messy it would be.1. No mess! It's charcoal in name only. The paper mask is black but the serum is clear. 2. Little to no immediate impact on my breakout. Not comparable with a clay mask.3. A very clean and almost 'tight' feeling after removal. Not hydrating.I think this would be great for very oily skin (which I have but I'm 32 now, a little shine is youthful) as it gave me a slightly mattified feel immediately afterwards but it claims to have a weeks worth of hydration.. nah. Nothing amazing in terms of 'purifying' and lacking in everything else. For me it was a gimmick, I'll stick to the Moisture Bomb varieties in future and seperate spot treatments where needed.Available online here
