Spend vs Save / The Slogan Sweatshirt
I am a HUGE fan of the slogan sweatshirt trend, in the UK the weather allows me to pretty much live in them so I am racking up quite a collection. In the last week I picked up 2 at opposite ends of the price scale.. but do you really get what you pay for when it comes to super casual wear?
OUTFIT 1. Sweatshirt - Wildfox / Jeans - 7 For All Mankind - similar / Shoes - Bronx
Outfit 2. Sweatshirt - eBay / Jeans - H&M / Shoes - Converse
I love my Wildfox jumpers but they are SO overpriced! I never pay full RRP for them, they are ALWAYS on sale somewhere (ASOS has a constantly changing selection for around half off) however this one I was full prepared to pay for. It's totally different in material to the rest I own, a unique, vintage looking finish with Coca Cola branding that sold me instantly. We're a Coca Cola family, no Pepsi is not the same and if it's Pepsi or nothing I'll take nothing. As it happens I had a 30% off coupon so luckily I did get a decent chunk off but I still would have bought it, why? Because I wanted it. They're not worth the money, they're made to feel like they've been washed a hundred times before you've ever worn them so they're super soft (and they do wash well for those wondering) but they don't look or feel expensive and let's face it the many I've bought from eBay are holding their own for a fraction of the price. The eBay ones are legit sweatshirts so better for actual warmth but in turn thicker and slightly less flattering perhaps. I will trawl the ASOS sales regularly to see if anything catches my eye but these days I do tend to reach for my snugglier eBay specials more often and you can get pretty much any slogan you like for under £15 if you look hard enough.
Lastly the jewellery I'm wearing here (and in my recent videos - I've had so many questions about the ring) is from Vamp London, I'll do a full post on the pieces soon as they're so beautiful they deserve their own feature but if you've been wondering then there you go!
There was a sweater from Reformation that said 'So Much Internet To Do' and I'd pretty much die for that but it seems to have been and gone and I've never found a replica anywhere so if anyone knows where i can get one I'm all ears!!
