Summer is Sticking Around Then..
So.. apparently this whole sunshine thing is here to stay for a while?! Is it still a heat wave if it lasts for months or is it just summer?? I know it's not okay to say I'm over it but I'm seriously craving a good nights sleep under the covers and to shake the headache I've had since June. I've been trying to make the most of our unseasonal British Summertime however and I thought I'd kick off some outfits posts since I'm guessing I'm not the only one that's been struggling to dress for heat!
These shots were actually taken a while ago. This week I've been wearing a lot less.. jeans sound hellish, don't they? But this is a more typical Summer outfit. I'm going to share some proper heat wave outfits too but in the meantime.. what have you been wearing?? I've been living in a baggy nightie-like H&M dress and underwear only when necessary (rarely) so not quite as dressed up as this post would have you believe.. but that's blogging, innit?

The bag is from Parfois (available at Debenhams) and I have loved it for months. Really affordable, roomy and well made but also super summer appropriate, right? I did have to add another hole to shorten the strap since this because I do have a short torso but other than that.. can't complain and I've had so much wear from it. The sandals have also been staples. I took only 1 pair of shoes with me to Greece (blog posts on that are still coming!) and these were they. I battered them but they're still going strong. They were pricey but they've earned their keep!
I think I've finally given up on 'girlfriend' jeans though.. I need a high waist and these bunch up and just don't suit my shape. It's hard to finally retire something you've been trying to make work but hey, when it's not right, it's not right! I'm working on some content on choosing the right jeans for your figure right now and I really need to take my own advice because these definitely do not tick my apple shaped boxes!I'm off to soak my feet in a cold bath. Does anyone else get insanely hot feet in the Summer months? I swear I can barely sleep, they're so uncomfortable!!
