Monday Mani / Hot Salsa Chevron

I love a chevron in all aspects of my life so why not add them to my nails? It's just about the most simple nail art for those of you with less than steady hands too so if you're in to it at all you can definitely give it a go!Any type of fiddly manicure requires my most longlasting of longlasting polishes because I'm not about to take an hour doing my nails for them to chip an hour later so for this I chose Maybelline. Their superstay range is one of the best for wear time and for this I used 'Hot Salsa' and 'White Sails'.I know, I know, I've been neglecting my cuticles! These were actually last weeks nails and today is my mani day so I promise I'll address them ;)For the chevron I use french manicure guides I found on eBay.. you can get them in all kinds of shapes and in theory you use them on bare nails to apply the white tip but since I use them over a colour I not only allow the base coat to dry 100% but I use Seche Vite top coat to be sure it wont lift when I paint the second colour and peel away the strip.Simple but effective!
